Happy Birthday, Jen!

What do you do for the girl who already has everything, who’s your cousin, but more like a sister, and best friend all rolled into one? Blog about her. Surely that will at least be original.

Today is Jen’s Birthday, and while she is the most fabulous, supportive, tough, capable, understanding, always-up-for-anything, like-minded, fair-minded, and strong-minded person I know, I, of late, really kind of suck. When things get crazy, or busy, or hard, or out-of-control, or all of the above, I tend to develop tunnel-vision, and way too often, the most important people in my life are treated like anything but.

Well, August was that kind of month, as Capitol B readers (also very important people in my life) know from the utter lack of posts. So, in an effort to make a comeback, both as Capitol B and someone worthy of Jen’s friendship, love, and respect, I submit to you, dear readers, and to Jen, this very special Birthday Blog Post in honor of the coolest chick I know.

And, thank you for always being there through: boy problems, mom issues, apartment moves, hospital stays, weekend drives to PA, two Hispanic Heritage Awards seasons, drinking binges, Taco Bell binges, club hopping, clothes shopping, all-night work sessions, sleep-overs, Birthdays, holidays, good days, bad days, the best and worst of times, and everything in between. I love you, Girl. You’re the best. I hope you have an awesome Birthday, and I can’t wait to celebrate with you!
